My Brutally Honest Review on theBalm Meet Matt(e) Ador Palette

This is the first review of any theBalm Cosmetics products on the blog! I don’t really know why I waited so long to review these über popular products. theBalm Cosmetics is really famous for their catchy branding and witty product names.

MEET MATT(E) ADORE theBALM eyeshadow palette photo

I picked up the “Meet Matt(e) Ador”matte eyeshadow palette from my local drugstore. Yes, in Canada theBalm Cosmetics is sold at the drugstore. I definitly don’t consider their price points drugstore prices but oh well, I really wanted the palette so I picked it up.

The “Meet Matt(e) Ador” is the 3rd palette in theBalm “Meet Matt(e)” palette trilogy:

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Palette

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Ador Palette

theBalm “Meet Matt(e) Ador”consists of 9 matte, talc free, vegan eyeshadows that range from naturals to dark shades. The shadows are true matte shades, as there is zero shine in these shadows. I love it when a brand can produce a true matte eyeshadow. Each shade contains a variation of the name “Matt” as it’s a play on the word  “Matte”.

I instantly fell in love with all the shades and knew right away that I needed this palette in my life. It was going t be my go-to Fall palette. It was love at first sight with “Matt Jones”. He’s a matte orange shade that I don’t have in my collection so I was happy to add him to it!! “Matt Soto” also became dear to my heart as he’s the perfect green shade to use for a dark smokey eye look!

Sadly, my love affair with “Meet Matt(e) Ador” palette ended when I tried to apply the shadows for a dramatic look. You see matte shades, if too powdery or chalky, can give you a hard time when picking up the product onto a brush and applying or blending them.

    Brace yourselves…this is not pretty:

MEET MATT(E) ADORE theBALM eyeshadow palette photo

As you can see from the photo above. I had a hard time applying and blending the shades. At first I thought my shadow primer was the problem, so I washed off the shadows and applied them again using this primer.

    No, that didn’t work either.

The shadows applied were chalky, not blendable at all. It took me a long time to achieve the results below and I was not happy with it AT ALL! I was so frustrated that I wasn’t going to post theses photos but I changed my mind because I really wanted my readers, you guys, to really grasp what I am writing about when I say things like chalky or overly powdery texture.

For $42 and all the rave reviews I read online about thebalm cosmetics, I expected more from this palette.

MEET MATT(E) ADORE theBALM eyeshadow palette photo

I went online to see if anyone else had the same issues as me and it turns out this palette, out of the 3 in the “Meet Matt(e)” palette trilogy, was the least favourite. Apparently the formula was changed in this palette and makeup lovers everywhere have noticed and voiced their opinion.

So, where do I stand? Here are the pros and cons of this palette:

    Pro:

    I love the branding and packaging;

    it’s a vegan palette, the shades are so so nice;

versatile so you can go from day to night

    Cons:

    Too chalky and overly powdery;

    difficult to pick up on a brush; does not blend well;

too much fallout and expensive AF!

I hope I can return this platte since I’m so disappointed with it.  I thought that since my last palette purchase was a dud ( read that post here ) this one would blow me away. It clearly did not.

How hard is it to find the perfect Fall palette!! Agh!

I had a bad experience with this palette, but that doesn’t mean I’m opposed to trying out any other products from thebalm Cosmetics. I’m hoping to pick up “Meet Matt(e) Nude” and “Meet Matt(e) Trimony” Palette as well as Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter. I’ve heard AMAZING reviews on all these products and I truly want to fall in love with theBalm!

I do, really! It just didn’t happen with this product.

Have you tired any theBalm Cosmetics products? If you have leave me a comment below.

    I love hearing from you.

HUDA BEAUTY Coral Obsessions Palette Review with Swatches

On my lunch break from my 9-5, I decided to take a stroll to the mall next to me which so happens to have a Sephora. Lucky me! Not so lucky for my husband  🙁

He always asks me what I did on my lunch break because it’s either 2 things:

    Went to the Mall

    or

    Went to the Gym

He would like to hear ” went to the gym” more often but off to the mall I go!

You see, Sephora truly puts me in a euphoric state and I’m not ashamed to say that it is my happy place. I know I’m not the only one!

As I walked around Sephora, I stopped in front of the Huda Beauty cosmetics stand and was instantly drawn to her Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette collections.  The collection consists of 11 palettes with 9 shades which are a mix of mattes and shimmers. The tones range from warm brown, mauve, smokey, and electric! They are all gorgeous and I wanted them all, but at $35 for a mini palette, I had to control my inner diva and I settled on Coral Obsessions.

I was instantly drawn to the burnt orange ,vibrant yellow and dusty pink shades. This palette is screaming SUMMER! I quickly added the mini palette to my shopping tote and went on my way.

I was so excited to get home and try on these gorgeous colours!

Huda Beauty Obsession Palette photo, review and swatches

    Amazing shades right!

     Coral Obsessions Palette Look:

Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions Palette photo and review

So, what did I think of the final look you ask ?

Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions Palette photo and review

I am somewhat happy with the final results of the eyeshadow application.

Truthfully, I really really wanted to love this palette. I wanted to love it so much, I was going to budget for another 2-3 palettes because the shade ranges are absolutely amazing! The idea of mixing burnt orange and deep red together sounded so good in my head.

    But then reality hit me…hard!

The matte shadows are very powdery, chalky and a nightmare to blend out. There was so much fall out. I was constantly dusting away the fallen shadow. The shimmery shades were better to blend but not great. I had difficulty picking up product onto my blending brush. I must have dipped the brush into each shade a good 2-3 times before I saw enough product on my brush to apply.

Did I get a defective palette?  Hoping I did.

I read a few other reviews online and I think the mass opinions on the obsession palettes is in favour of them, but there are some makeup gurus on youtube who are experiencing the same issues as I am.

So here’s my final  verdict on this palette:

I fell in love with the the shades , they are stunning. It’s miniture size make is so convenient for travel and Huda Beauty herself picked out every single shade in each palette. That’s pretty cool I think!

But dear Huda, $35 for a palette that you may get 3-4 uses out of it ( if that) before hitting pan due to crazy fallout is not cool ! Not cool at all . The matte shades are too chalky and the pigmentation is barely there when blending out. Even my UD shadow primer wasn’t able to save me.

But since my mamma didn’t raise a quitter and I’m always up for a challenge, I’ll give it one more try! I’ll probably pick up another palette, maybe from the smokey range, to compare the two.

If you have used any of the Obsessions Collection palettes,  I would love to hear from you. Do we share the same experience? Do you like it or hate it?

BYE BYE SUMMER, HELLO FALL : New Makeup + Skincare

I can’t believe we are saying goodbye to the blazing heat in Ottawa and shifting our thoughts to PSL, pumpkin pies and riding boots! Fall is on the horizon and I am not sure how I feel about that, however, since your an avid reader of my blog you probably already know how much I look forward to switching up my makeup and skincare products with each season.  Fall 2018 is the season I amp up my skincare and become more adventurous with my makeup looks! Here are the Fall products I’m loving and living for!

    FALL SKINCARE AND MAKEUP photos

Skincare for me is so essential. I have friends that don’t use any skincare and I’m shocked and ask myself :

#1 – how are we friends again?  and

#2 – so you like aging rapidly?

    Nope sorry. Not I.

I am a strong believer that skincare can and will help you slow down the aging process ( of course eating healthy, drinking  loads of water , minimizing stress also help 🙂 ).

This is why I religiously wash, exfoliate, serum and moisturize every morning and night!

I was happy to receive the Rodial Dragons Blood Micellar cleansing water and Dragon’s Blood essence mist to help me NOT age rapidly 🙂. I’m a huge fan of this brand because they use innovative ingredients in their products that actually work great together to deliver results.

    FALL SKINCARE AND MAKEUP photos

    The cleansing water contains

Rose water to cleanse and refresh skin,

Vitamin b3 to helps brighten skin,

    and

Hyalronic acid to lock in hydration while preventing moisture loss while helping plump up the skin.

This is now the first step in my morning and night routine, I dampen a cotton pad and wipe off my makeup. I like to use another cotton pad soaked in the cleansing water a second time to ensure everything is removed. I’m just paranoid like this! Give this a try if your looking

    FALL SKINCARE AND MAKEUP photos

The Dragons blood essence mist is a triple threat. It can be used as

    Makeup Primer,

    Setting Spray,

    Serum substitute

Truthfully, I use this mist as a setting spray only and I love it! I love how with one pump I get so much mist and it absorbs into my skin quickly and leaves it really refreshed, glow-y , and helps my makeup stay. On really hot days when I’ve worn makeup I’ve spray the essence mist on to freshen up my look. I love his spray. I didn’t know that it comes in a mini size, but now that I do know this I’ll be buying it in mini so I can carry it around in my makeup bag this Fall.

    FALL SKINCARE AND MAKEUP photos

“Born This Way” medium to full coverage foundation from Too Faced is the fist product I’ve tried from this brand. I didn’t really know what to expect because all the reviews have been amazing for this foundation, but of course I needed to form my own opinion.

Day 1 wearing this foundation wasn’t the greatest experience. I felt it oxidized rather quickly and by the time I got home that day it didn’t look like I had any foundation on. My face looked rather dull.  I instantly regretted buying it, but I said I would have another go at it as almost everyone I know has loved it from the get-go!

Day 2 was better. I realized on Day 2 that on Day 1 wasn’t wearing any of  my usual skincare ( testing out some PR products) and the products did NOTHING for my skin and made my skin look really dull, dry and just plain gross! If your skin prep is off even using a foundation made with the tears of the last unicorn wouldn’t make your skin look good!

Day 3 I realized why I didn’t like the foundation as much as I thought I would. I wasn’t pumping enough foundation onto my brush. 2 pumps of the “Born This Way” foundation was not enough for my liking so I tried 3.5 pumps and VOILA, it was magic! Thank god this product is buildable. After trial and error I finally found the right ratio of pumps for my liking and I have to say I am IN LOVE with this foundation. It covered imperfections beautifully and gave me a semi – matte look. I just hope going into the colder months it holds up!

    FALL SKINCARE AND MAKEUP photos

My skin in natural light wearing “Born This Way” Too Faced foundation.

Esqido is a brand that I was introduced to this year when they sent me their best selling lashes to experiment with. You can read my thoughts on the lashes  here.

They recently sent me their new gel liners in brown and black . Esqido gel liners are no joke folks ! They are

    long lasting.

    glide smoothly,

     have great colour payoff,

    and

    formulated without latex,sulphates and parabens.

The liners have a twist dispenser and a precision sharpener.

    FALL SKINCARE AND MAKEUP photos

I’m a big fan of lining the inner eyelids and sometimes I find that some eyeliners don’t glide on smoothly in that area so I end up tugging a bit on the lid to ensure I get the liner in place, but with the Esqido liners there was no need to tug as the liner glided on effortlessly! The black liner is really a rich black and you can create a long lasting cat eye with minimum effort.

I used to be obsessed with the MAC lip liners. Soar was my absolute favourite as it matched all my lipsticks. I was never crazy about paying $22 for a lip liner but I did anyway because there wasn’t any other product I liked more until I started using the NYX Suede Matte Lip Liners! I FREAKING love them ! I’m sure I’ve blogged about them before but I wanted to reiterate in this post how amazing these $6 lip liners are.

Going into Fall, matte shades are a must for me so I picked up Dainty Daze ( shown below) and KYOTO. I like to line my lips first and then shade the top and lower lip with the liner, then apply the lipstick. I find it lasts longer and deepens the colour of the lipstick. For $6 you cannot go wrong with this amazing liner!

    FALL SKINCARE AND MAKEUP photos

I don’t usually talk about hair care on the blog,  but I really should as I get asked all the time what I use on my curly, and unruly hair!

If there is one product I can’t live without to tame my hair it would have to be the Kérastase Nutritive K Oléo-Relax serum ( some people call it an oil but I don’t like to call it that).I have been using this serum for years and years. It’s an amazing product that can be used on your hair wet or dry, curly or straight , frizz or no frizz. It can be used to add shine to your hair or use it for it’s original purpose which is to control frizz.

I have repurchased this product at least 4 times and lasts me about a year. I only use one or two pumps depending on the length of my hair at that time. When I wear my hair curly , I apply the serum to my wet hair before applying any styling products. When I wear my hair straight, I apply one pump before and after styling.  This is my HG for taming my frizz! I know it carries a steep price ( $45 ) but it is well worth it for me as it lasts me a whole year!

PR PRODUCTS I RECEIVED FOR FREE AND I LOVE…NO STRINGS ATTACHED!

Pr Products PR Products I LOVE!

Honestly I can’t complain! I have a pretty sweet gig. Sometimes a really great company sends lil ‘ol me a few products for free to sample. It’s also a better feeling when the products are actually great!

Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum and moisturizer photo PR Products I LOVE!

Vichy is my go-to skin care brand and it never disappoints! They recently introduced the Aqualia Thermal Serum and Gel Creme Moisturizer. This line is formulated with 97% natural ingredients and Mineralizing thermal water.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum and moisturizer photo PR Products I LOVE!

I love how the serum can be worn under makeup and doesn’t dry out my skin. I truly believe that Vichy makes the best serums on the market. My all time favourite serum is still the Idéalia Serum with is the Vichy Radiance boosting Serum. I think I’m on my 15th or 18th bottle. It’s a staple for me! Like I said, Best skincare are brand out there!

Pixi Fairy Lights eyeshadow PR Products I LOVE!

Pixi by Petra is so generous to us bloggers! This brand also never dissapoints me and I’ve grown to love the majority of the products Pixi has. If I was only able to pick one type of product form Pixi to use, it would have to be their highlighters. I absolutely adore them. They have great wearability and longevity as well they suite a variety of skin tones. Oh, I can’t forget that they really are versatile. I can use the highlighters as shadows to add a bit of colour to my lids. The new products Pixi sent me are the Glow-Y Gossamer Duo highlighters and the Liquid Fairy Lights eyeshadows.

Pixi Fairy Lights eyeshadow PR Products I LOVE!

The highlighters are another hit by Pixi. I gravitated towards Subtle Sunrise as it adds a really nice natural glow on the skin. Both highlights though felt really nice on the skin and didn’t dry me out at all even after wearing it all day.

Pixi Fairy Lights eyeshadow PR Products I LOVE!

The Liquid Fairy Lights are liquid shadows. They can be worn alone or layered to create a 3D effect. My favourite out of the 5 are the shades Rose Gold and Bare Brilliance. Layer them both for a metallic look or alone for a more subtle look. The shadows are shimmery but if you apply them with your finger and pat the colour onto your lid you would be diffusing the shimmery impact. I prefer this method of applying the Fairy Lights as I am not so keen on having metallic lids.

I’ve heard many bloggers compare the Liquid Fairy Lights shadows to Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid eyeshadows. I believe that’s a fair statement to make but I would say that the Pixi liquid shadows aren’t as concentrated in colour as the Stila liquid shadows, but for less than half the price you can achieve a similar look so why not!

IT Cosmetics liner and mascara PR Products I LOVE!

It Cosmetics has been on my radar lately and I can’t be happier that I received a few products from them to sample. They recently sent me the Superhero Mascara and Superhero liquid liner.

IT Cosmetics liner and mascara PR Products I LOVE!

I had originally heard of  the Superhero mascara from a video Jefree Star posted online and I thought how much I would love to try it out because of the amazing review he gave. Well , the next day what do you know the IT Superhero mascara and liner show up on my doorstep! So here’s the honest honest truth. I would never ever lie to guys. So the low down is this. The Superhero mascara is the best I have tried in a very long time. I don’t know what it is but my lashes love this mascara. It literally grabs every fibre of my lashes and stretches them out to the max! It deserves the rave reviews it’s received.

With that being said….I can’t say the same thing about the liner. I know the title of this post is “… products I love”, but I have to keep it real with you all! The IT Superhero liner is good, but it won’t be replacing my Kat Von D ink tattoo liner any time soon. It glides nicely, has a sturdy fine tip and it’s a deep black, but throughout the day the liner straits to fade and transfers. The liner starts out looking good and sharp but about 3 hours in I noticed a bit of liner on my upper eyelids. I thought well I don’t have any eye primer on so I’ll try it again the next day with eye primer but sadly that didn’t help the problem. *sigh*

Esqido lashes photo PR Products I LOVE!

Esqido Lashes   are mink lashes that are super wearable and are loved by loads of influencers and celebrities including Gigi Hadid, Shay Mitchell and model Candace Swanepoel. These are the VOILA LASH and add a lot of volume to your look and are one of the bestsellers on the Esqido site.

esqido lashes photo PR Products I LOVE!

Esqido Lashes are best applied with it’s Companion eyelash clear glue! The glue has all day hold , is fast drying, latex free and can be used on sensitive skin.

esqido lashes photo PR Products I LOVE!

The eyelash glue applicator is easy to use and one or two swipes on the lash band is all you need to secure these lashes to your natural lashes for an all day hold. I LOVE this lash glue because it dries quickly and it’s super easy to apply onto the band. Overall I am really impressed with the Esqido lashes. The variety is amazing and they feel so great on and best of all I  don’t even feel that I’m wearing falsies !

    Rodial Products photo

I just received these two products today  from Rodial, so I can’t say much about them but I wanted to include them in the post. Everything  I’ve ever bought  or received from Rodial has been a huge hit so don’t be surprised if I end up raving about these two products here. The Dragons Blood Micelllar Cleansing Water and Essence Mist are new to the Rodial line up so be ono the look out for a review of these two products coming soon !

    8. Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder  is an old-y but a good-y for me! I find I reach for this product more in the warmer seasons. I just like how it sets my foundation all day. It doesn’t really mattify my face, but it gives me an overall even complexion with a bit of radiant glow.
    9.  Pixi Extra Eye Bright , besides Venti black coffee,  is a can’t live without product for me. I look, not feel, wide awake! It lasts all day and I don’t have to set with eyeshadow like I do any other nude pencil. It won’t smudge or smear through out the day and it’s at a great price point! It’s a must have!
    10. IT Cosmetics, Bye Bye Undereye Full Coverage Concealer  I ‘ve been using this concealer for years now. I briefly mention this product in my last post which you can read here. I’m hoping to write a more extensive review on this concealer in the near future, but for now let me tell you how great this product is. A little goes a long way. I have had mine for over a year now and it’s still half full. I really like the shade range ( I’m medium tan in the Summer) and I can apply it with my index finger perfectly so no need for a brush! Again, the amount of coverage you get from this concealer is like no other !
    11. Milani Colour Statement Lipstick, Sweet Nectar  is for the wild ones this Summer! Don’t be boring,  try out a vibrant colour to showcase your true personality! I am obsessed with Milani Lipsticks. The Colour Statement lipsticks are super super pigmented and totally affordable! I love that they are non-drying and super hydrating, but most of all I love the different shades they have. I think I’ll pick up uptown mauve next 🙂
    12. Dermalogica SPF 30 Broad Spectrum Sunscreen isn’t the sexiest product I have on this list, but IMO it is the most important! I never ever leave the house without sunscreen and neither should you. This is an oil free , board spectrum sunscreen that won’t clog your pores and it’s super lightweight so you can wear it under makeup without any problems!
    13. Essie Nail Polish, Backseat Besties,  is my favourite essie nail colour and essie is become my favourite nail brand! I have accumulated so many little bottles! I wear a different colour every other week. I really enjoy wearing bright nail colours during the warmer weather. Paired with a  mani / pedi these colours look so cute!
    14. e.l.f. cosmetics Moonlight Pearl baked Highlighter  is only $6 dollars ! For $6 this highlighter is amazing! It’s always sold out when I go to pick it up so when I do see it at my local drugstore I make sure to stock up. It applies really nicely and looks really subtle on the face. You can definitely be heavy handed and apply more to the face if your going for a glam look. As I wear it during the day, I prefer to apply it softly on the high points of my cheeks and cupids bow.
    15. NYX Makeup Setting Spray, Dewy Finish  Nothing too exciting about a setting spray to be honest but this one is a keeper in my makeup bag. I use the Matte finish spray during the colder months and when the sun comes out, I bring out it’s more outing , lovable sister  the Dewy finish spray! After I apply my makeup, day or night, I spray once, twice and thrice for good luck 🙂 This long lasting spray is around $8-10 dollars and rivals the most prestigious setting prays on the market. NYX ain’t kidding around when it comes to making your makeup last longer folks. This is the real deal!
    16. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, Medium  When the sun comes out I put away the heavy foundations. No need for them. If I have any imperfections on the skin, I colour correct and then use concealer. NARS sheer Glow is one of the best on the market, IMO 🙂 It applies nicely and evenly. It’s not too thick or too watery as some lightweight foundations can be. It’s the perfect texture. A quarter sized drop and a half is good for me , but you can apply more if you feel necessary. Some advice from me,  this foundation will have a learning curve to it. You may think 2-3 drops is good for you but as the day goes on the foundation settles and you may realize you put too much on or not enough. I suggest start with a quarter sized drop and half and see how your skin looks mid day. It’s makeup , it’s meant to be played with.

Say Hello To My Spring Loves: Makeup + Skin Care

    photo of makeup and skincare

With a new season comes new makeup!

As you can see my obsession with Charlotte Tilbury ( and roses lol) continues well into Spring. I’ve accumulated quite a collection of CT makeup and I can’t decide what product I love most…the lipsticks, glosses or shadows .

Who am I kidding, I love them all.

Mid February I had the opportunity to try out the CT Magic foundation for the first time. Besides the fact that the Medium shade is a bit too dark for my skin tone, I was overall impressed with it. It applied nicely on the skin and gave me about a good 8-10 hours of wear.. Applying it for the first time I saw why CT calls it “Magic Foundation”, it hides blemishes and covers up redness on the skin surprisingly well !

Even though this is a full coverage foundation it didn’t feel like I was wearing a mask ,in fact it blended beautifully on my skin! I’ll have to wear the foundation more in the summer since it is a bit dark for me right now, I hope with a light tan it will fit me perfectly. If you are a fan of Estee Lauder double wear then you will LOVE this foundation. They are my top 2 but CT is just perfect for a natural Spring look!

photo of skin care products to use in the Spring

Light Wonder Medium #7 has been my got-to day wear since mid February. Light Wonder is not a typical  foundation, I would consider it to be a really good tinted moisturizer. It is buildable, and gives a natural coverage and makes your skin super hydrated so if you have oily skin, this may not be the foundation for you.  If you have dry or normal skin , this will work wonders for you! Since the foundation contains Pseudo-ceramides,  it illuminates the skin quite a bit to give you a nice all day lasting glow. I’ve become a bit obsessed with it and I just wish the bottle was a bit bigger ( 1.4 fl oz) as I have gone through it fairly quickly…oops!

After I use Light Wonder I like to powder my T-zone and cheeks a bit so I started using the CT Airbrush Flawless Finish in Medium shade. This sheer pressed powder not only looks like a million bucks it really feels like it on the skin. It’s buildable and  leaves skin glowing without a shimmery look to it.

I apply this powder throughout the day and it never looks cakey. For even distribution of the fine powder you can use a brush or a sponge but my preference is a big fluffy brush. CT claims that it blurs out pores and fine lines, I think that is true to an extent but only when I use the Magic foundation underneath this powder. Still, one of the best powders I have used in a long time and highly recommend the invest.

The first product I fell in love with from the CT brand was their eyeshadows.  They are long lasting, versatile (apply less or more and they still look good) and they come in so many glorious colour ranges. I love that each quad has an all over shade, a crease shade, a lid shade, and a “outer v” for the eyes. Any newbie can pick up a quad and use it, it really is simple. But what I love most is you can wear these colours day and night. For day wear, obviously, be light handed when applying and for night wear go all out…smoke that colour out baby!!!

photo of skin care products to use in the Spring

If you have never heard of Rocky Mountain Soap Company (RMSC), where you been hiding love?

They have some of the best natural, organic skincare and body care products I have ever tried. My new favourites are the Beech Tree Bud  eye cream and the Sugar Scrub.

The eye cream is 100 % natural, toxin and paraben free and can be used day and night to get rid of puffiness and regenerate the skin under the eyes. It’s very light in texture and has a faint fragrance to it.

The Sugar scrub is my new BFF in the shower! It’s 94% organic and 100% natural and Toxin free and smells of French Lavender! Basically  heaven in a bottle! It’s the perfect exfoliant in preparation for sundress season!! The Wellness bath salts are great to use in the tub to relax your body after a long day!

After I exfoliate with the sugar scrub I spritz the vanilla coconut body oil. It’s 85% organic and 100% natural and toxin free. I am usually not a fan of body oils because I find they don’t seep into the skin quickly and I feel greasy. The RMSC body oil is the complete opposite. It not only smells great but it absorbs into your skin quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue.

Quick tip for you: If you feel like your catching a cold, you need to reach for the RMSC Wellness Balm – Breath easy to relive cough and cold symptoms. Spritz a few drops onto your fingers and massage onto the temples and back of neck and other pulse areas to relive the symptoms. This liquid balm is loaded with eucalyptus and rosemary so you know they ain’t playing around!!!

I have a love affair with Pixi Beauty and the Rose Flash Balm is the newest addition to my pixie lineup! It can be used as a mask +moisturizer+primer. I have only used it as a primer + moisturizer. It ‘s a lightweight moisturizer and can be used underneath makeup.  If after the cold months you are in dire need of a skin pick me up , grab this oil free balm and slather it on. Works great to brighten and revitalize the skin and it’s loaded with roses so you know it has to be good 🙂

The last 2 products are from Nip+Fab I have already discussed in this post here.  but I wanted to include them as they have become a staple for me during the winter and I will be using them still this spring.!! They are really inexpensive and work so so  well!

Well that changed on New  Years Eve when I lent my sister a setting powder and lipstick to borrow for the night as she couldn’t find hers and all the stores had closed early since it was New Years Eve.

Throughout the night I started to received these one liner texts such as ” You skank ” (yes, we talk like this to one another… if you are offended please stop reading and abort this blog post because It doesn’t get any cleaner lol).

This is the play by play of our texts: Read more
