I love receiving products from a brand that I’ve always been curious about but never got around to trying their products. Rodial is one of these brands. This innovative skincare brand that uses tongue and cheek product names such as Bee Venom and Dragon’s blood is a favourite among many celebrities such as Heidi Klum, Lily Aldridge, and Kylie Jenner. I was ecstatic to try these products out and of course “spill the tea” on them! Finally, I found a reason to use this overused cliche!
Since Rodial is new to my blog, I have to give them a warm welcome by sharing some background on this brand. Rodial was founded in 1999 by London-based beauty entrepreneur, Maria Hatzistefanis. Maria wanted a skincare brand that was innovative and targeted specific skin concerns. Rodial launched it’s cult favourite “snake serum” and the world took notice. Rodial skincare and makeup are sold all around the world in prominent stores and online. Maria also introduced the world to the brands Nip + Fab and Nip + Man . She is also the author of “How to be an Overnight Success”, a book about how to build an empire. I have to get my hands on this book…fast!
Rodial sent me the following items :
STEMCELL super-food facial oil is loaded with omega 3, 6 and 9 and vitamins A, B5, C and E, and is quickly absorbed into the skin for deep hydration. The main purpose of this facial oil is to protect the skin and fight the early signs of aging such as wrinkles and sun spots.
This well rounded formula seeps into the skin rapidly and gives the skin a radiant glow even after just one use. I applied this facial oil right before my moisturizer and I have seen the difference this oil makes to the complexion of my skin. Some oils I try only provide a overall glow for a very short period, but this omega packed facial oil is the real deal! After applying the facial oil at 7 am in the morning, I can still feel and see the affects of the oil at 7 pm! You get total hydration through out the day. I also use the Facial oil to thin out the full coverage Rodial Airbrush Foundation Paste.
The Rodial Lip balm is infused with Rose Hip oil and Shea butter to stimulate collagen production. The pomegranate extract aids in ensuring your lips stay hydrated and soothed. The SPF 15 helps protect against the sun’s harsh rays. The science behind StemCell technology is PhytoCellTech Alp Rose and this amazing technology helps fight and protect the skin against the harsh environmental factors you may deal with every day (i.e pollution)!
If I didn’t feel like rocking colour on my lips this Summer, I was wearing this lip balm. I loved it so much! It didn’t feel sticky on my lips and I always felt it was hydrating them. The balm smells like roses, my favourite flowers, therefore, it only made sense that I accent these products with gorgeous full bloomed roses for the product shots. This balm has become an essential item in my makeup bag and I”ll definitely be carrying it with me while I embrace the Fall months ahead.
(Note: The balm when it was sent to me was called Glam Balm Lip, but now online it is called Stem Cell SPF 15 Lip Balm)
Can we please take a moment to appreciate the beauty that is the Rodial Airbrush Foundation brush!
When I took this brush out of the packaging, I think I gasped! It was love at first sight. Without a doubt, besides vanilla glazed cupcakes, my next obsession are makeup brushes. I have loads of brushes, but this one is just pure perfection. Blending in foundation is the main purpose of this brush, but because it’s dense and tapered at the end it can serve many purposes. You can use it to blend in cream contour, concealer and even apply powder. I’ve used it mostly to apply foundation, concealer and powder. Regardless of what brand of makeup I use, the makeup always applies smoothly and evenly and with no tugging of the skin. The Airbrush Brush is constructed really well as I have washed it several times (after each use actually) and not a single hair has shed thus far. This makes me so happy!
The Airbrush Makeup is a full coverage foundation paste with a thick consistency and comes in 4 shades. I’m using Shade 3 which is ideal for olive / warm toned skin. As you can tell by the photo above, I clearly didn’t wait to use the product. I usually take product shots and then dive into the product, but not this time! I opened the packaging and was drawn to it instantly and I couldn’t resist the urge to use the product right away.
Sorry not sorry!
As I mentioned, the foundation paste is thick, buildable and gives a satin finish to the skin. You can thin the consistency out a bit by applying a few drops of the StemCell Facial oil. I am usually not a full coverage girl but I tried the paste as is by applying it with the Airbrush Foundation brush and the coverage looked great! They weren’t kidding when they said full coverage…the paste covered my blemishes and redness I have around my nose completely! Even though it’s full coverage foundation it felt very light on the skin, almost like my skin was still able to breath under the paste.
Paired with the Airbrush Foundation brush, the Foundation Paste will become your new best friend!
Overall, I am so thrilled to have had the opportunity to try out the Rodial line of makeup and skincare. I love that their products work so well on my skin and the makeup is truly high quality. Now I can say Heidi Klum and I have something in common 🙂
Here are a few other Rodial products that I may need to add to my shopping cart very soon:
