We all have had those days where we’ve missed a few hours of sleep or ate super fatty foods the night before and it shows on our face the next morning or during the day your face just looses it’s glow and starts to look tired and dull. It’s really nothing earth shattering but super annoying right? No one wants to look puffy or lack luster when it can be minimized or avoided completely.
Here are 6 tricks that can have an immense impact on help banish tired, dull skin days and blemishes.
Face Mist the day away
I always carry a face mist with me at all times. Throughout the day when I feel like my face is looking dull and I just need a refresher, I take it out of my bag and it saves the day.
Reapply tinted moisturizer
A MUA friend of mine gave me this little piece of advice , which he received from his MUA BFF who works on the set of a reality show ( he said it was a super covert operation so he couldn’t name the reality show…OMG), but he suggests to apply tinted moisturizer with SPF on top of your makeup throughout the day , if your skin needs a refresher without having to reapply foundation. You can easily use your fingers to rub the tinted moisturizer in to relieve you from any dry patches you may have.
Exfoliate the dead skin away
Gently Exfoliating every day or every other day will shed away all the dead skin and leave you with skin that reflects more light and looks healthier and brighter. Exfoliating is key to having better skin days.
Go super thick with your moisturizer
Choosing a super thick moisturizer will awaken your soul! Ok that’s a bit of a stretch but I love love a good super thick moisturizer to freshen up my complexion, especially if I’ve had a sleepless night. A thick moisturizer does take a bit more time to absorb into the skin, but, it’s well wroth the extra minute or two. Along with super long lasting hydration, some ultra thick moisturizer will give you added firmness to your skin.
Add glow boosting ingredients such as a concentrated Vitamin C product to your routine
By adding aVitamin C to your skin care routine you’re taking preventive measures to protect your skin from sun damage and giving your skin anti-aging benefits. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, so it naturally helps to strengthen your skin and repel things that could damage it. I find when I started giving my skin a daily boost of Vitamin C in the morning, I saw clearer skin and a more radiant complexion. Now be careful, not all topical Vitamin C products are created equally so do your research.
Sleep, Sleep and More Sleep!
Now I know you’ve heard this before, BUT, a good nights rest is super essential and contributes to healthy, radiant and blemish free skin. It’s not jibber jabber, it’s a fact!
