A friend of mine gifted me the “Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons “palette for my birthday back in November and I just recently opened it up.
Too Faced released this palette back in 2015 and since I never really got into their eyeshadows I didn’t have this in my collection. My lovely friend who is not a makeup connoisseur but enjoys these cheeky type products couldn’t believe I had never tried it so she made sure I had one to call my own.
The only Too Faced product I own is the” born this way” foundation and it was a good introduction to the brand. Even though this is not a new , just released palette we wanted to test it out on the blog and give is a fair review.
The packaging is super cute and feminine! Pink all the way baby. The shadows are housed in heart shaped containers and smell devine! This palette is nicknamed #chocolatebarpalette for a good reason.

When I first opened up the packaging the cocoa powder fragrance is intense, but a sweet surprise. There are a total of 16 shadows , a mix of mattes and vibrant satin shimmers.
The matte shadows are soft, bendable, have good colour pigmentation and work even better if you use an eyeshadow primer underneath. A few matte shades were powdery and blotchy upon first application, but get better once you add more product and blend out. Malted gave me the most trouble to apply but that’s expected with intense dark matte colours Molasses Chip had the most pigmentation of all the matte shades and applied quite easily with little fall out. Overall, I really liked the matte shades and Almond Truffle is the perfect neutral all over colour for olive skin tone. It’s my new favourite for a quick, well refined look.
The satin shimmers are Totally Fetch, Cotton Candy,Black Current, and Café au Last. The first two, of course, being the most vibrant and in my opinion should be single shadows as they down fit into this mostly neutral palette. The shimmer shadows are OK. I experienced more fall out with these shades and they seemed more powdery then the mattes, which was really unexpected.
Surprisingly, all the shades last a good 7 hours before I started to notice them sheering out on the lid. I don’t want to be repetitive but a goodeyeshadow primer is necessary with this palette as I doubt they would have lasted without one.
Overall, I am not mad at this palette, but doubt I will repurchase. I enjoyed the mattes more so than the shimmer shades. I LOVE Almond Truffle and would buy it a single shadow. My next favourite would be Black Current, for the Fall season would be lovely.
I doubt I will be hitting pan on this palette anytime soon, but would use it more often if they swapped out the vibrant shimmer shades and stuck to an all neutral palette with less powdery matte shades. Oh and ,of course, they MUST keep the cocoa fragrance 🙂
Have you tried this palette before? What are your thoughts?
I’ve had a busy March with a few photoshoots and trials for upcoming weddings so I haven’t had a lot of time to blog recently. I always feel bad about this because not only do I LOVE blogging and miss it but also because I don’t get to put my photography skills to the test and as you know,I love me some beautiful flat-lays!
Today was a good day as I made a conscious effort to set aside time to snap some product photos and it felt so good. These photos are the result of a productive and creative day.
I’ve raved about Rodial’s skin and makeup products before and I’ve finally had the chance to discover their collagen boost lip lacquer. Rodail describes them as “crème glosses that have been expertly formulated to support collagen production, encouraging a boost of volume for visually plumper looking lips.”
I have become quite obsessed with them and now use them often. With Spring finally here in Ottawa, they are the perfect way to welcome a healthy amount of colour back onto the lips! From my experiences, I would describe the créme glosses as non sticky, nourishing and hydrating to the lips. They give off just enough colour and super high gloss shine! In my opinion it’s the perfect gloss+lip colour balance for days I don’t want to wear lipstick to work but still want a polished look.
I don’t really see the plumping effect while wearing them , but regardless they are super wearable, comfortable and versatile so you can layer them together. Intimate and Stripped will be my go-to this Spring for sure.
Rodial sent over their top 4 shades :
Intimateis a warm rosy pink shade
Stripped is a muted rose nude shade
Spice Spice Babyis a deep brown nude shade
Champagne Showers is an iridescent champagne shimmer shade
Rodial Soft Focus Glow Powder
Soft Focus Glow Powder is a universally flattering, verstaile “highlighter” that can be used to add glow to your face or can be worn alone on bare skin for a polished look. The powder applies easily as it is a velvety finish and won’t seep into your fine lines.
I use the powder as a highlighter, as under-brow and cupids bow illuminator and it looks gorgeous. I haven’t had the opportunity yet to wear it on a bare face but I think this technique will come in handy in the Summer when I want to rock a “makeup free” look.
Soft Focus Glow Drops
Radial describes this product as a ” skincare/makeup hybrid, a next generation wonder serum formulated with active ingredients to brighten the complexion and add gentle shimmer to instantly boost luminosity and glow.”
Yes, I agree with Rodial 100%. I wore this under very heavy makeup a few nights back and I could still see the effects of the glow drops through the foundation. My foundation applied beautifully over the glow drops and since it’s a hybrid of a primer and serum , I definitely can see myself incorporating this into my routine long term.
My skin felt smooth and very dewy after each use. Soft Focus Glow Drops also contain antioxidant properties which are uber important for the health of your skin and support the fight against premature aging. Primer + Serum + Antioxidant booster = My top rated product!
Have you used any of these products? If so, please leave me a comment ! I would love to hear about your experiences.
I have to say e.l.f has come a long way from the cosmetics brand I once used many years back. They definitely have stepped up their game and I’m so glad they did as some of these products are my new go-to. Not only because they are uber affordable but because they have proved themselves to work just as well as my higher end products.
Flawless Finish Foundation in “Nude”
Prep & Blur stick
Liquid Matte lipstick in “Blushing Rose”
16HR Camo concealer in “Tan Sand”
Dewy Setting Mist
18 Hit Wonders Eyeshadow Palette
Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint Finishing Powder in “Medium-Dark”
Here’s how I tested the wearability of the products listed above. I wanted to create a “no makeup makeup look while looking polished and well rested, and definitely not made up. Here is the final look:
(Unedited, NO photoshop, NO Facetune, Raw image of me in e.l.f cosmetics base makeup)
16 Hr Camo Concealer $9
I was really really really impressed with the 16hR camo concealer. It reminded me of NARS creamy concealer but without the hefty price tag. Done’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying for good quality makeup but if I can find something that works just as well for less than 90% of the cost, ” Imma go buy it” real quick 🙂
The concealer is super creamy and thick so a little goes a long way to achieve full coverage. It covers redness, blemishes and under eye darkness beautifully and literallymelts into your skin. As I applied it, I had to keep checking the label to ensure I didn’t pick up my Chanel or Nars concealers because I was so surprised at the quality of this product. I paid $9 for this tube of golden creamy goodness! One swipe was all I needed to fully cover my mommy bags. I’m shook! 🙂
It’s sold in 18 different shades. I bought “Tan Sand” but I could probably wear a shade lighter. The coverage lasted a good 10 hrs and I used “Beautifully bare sheer tint “in medium-tan to set it. I honestly can go on and on about this concealer but I don’t have too because I know you guys trust me so just go get it and try it out for yourself and let me know what you think.
Prep & Blur stick $8
If you use makeup primer before makeup application then the prep and blur is going to be your best friend. It’s a sheer, silicone free product that claims to blur imperfections and fills in pores. I can’t really comment on the blurring claim e.l.f makes with this product but I agree that it preps your skin for foundation very nicely. It really smoothed out my skin and my foundation applied effortlessly even with a dry beauty blender (oops I forgot to wet it)!
Overall I really liked the prep & blur stick, but I use it more for prepping my skin and not so much for filling in pores. It gives you a nice smooth finish.
Flawless Finish Foundation $8
This foundation comes in 40 shades. I bought shade “Nude”, but could have also matched “Sand”. This foundation is e.l.f.’s best seller. It’s a lightweight, oil-free formula that dries to a semi-matte finish.
“Flawless Finish” for a drugstore brand foundation is exceptionally good. It ‘s a hydrating, buildable foundation that blends out really nicely, not streaky. You can use a beauty blender or brush and the results will be good either way. I wouldn’t say this is my HG foundation but it does cover redness, and imperfections really well. For the price tag, it’s a good purchase.
Liquid Matte Lipstick $7
“Blushing Rose ” is a darker pinkish matte shade. The formula contains vitamin E so it’s supposed to be hydrating to the lips, but unfortunately it really didn’t live up to that claim. My lips did feel a bit dry but that’s mostly the case with a lot of matte lipsticks.
The matte finish lasted a couple of hours and did start to weaken after a meal, which has happened even with luxury brand matte lipsticks. I just reapplied and the colour looked great again with no cakey feeling. I would definitely purchase this in various colours as I’m the type that likes to have multiple shades within my reach and for the price tag can you blame me ?
Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint $8
This product, IMO, is the real star of my post!
I’m a loyal MAC pressed powder ( medium dark ) and now I’ve been converted to this amazing product. As you can see from the photos above, I look a bit more tanned than usual, and that’s because I’m wearing Medium-Dark in Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint. I didn’t really notice that it was too dark for me until I took the photos, so the next day I went out and bought Light-Medium and it’s so so good on the face! Perfect match!
It’s a silky mattifying finishing powder that gives you light – medium coverage and comes in 5 shades. I know the name of the product is “Bare Sheer tint” but that’s not the case. You actually get light – medium coverage. I used it to set my “16 HR Camo concealer” and foundation. I don’t know if it’s supposed to do this but it smoothed out my skin and accentuated my olive skin tone. I like that my natural skin tone wasn’t masked, it just made it look better! I don’t know how, but it did. It’s a matte formula so if you like to shine bright like a diamond, this may not be for you.
This is an amazing product that I will be buying from now on. It’s that good. No joke. Go try it out!
Dewy Setting Mist $11
I think by now I have around 15-20 setting sprays, but I decided to add one more to my collection. After several uses of this setting mist, I didn’t like it. Aside from the amazing fragrance, coconut, the product itself fell short for me. It sprayed out way too much product, which I believe is a waste. I didn’t notice my skin was dewy even after using it on a bare face. I actually prefer e.l.f’s original setting spray, “Makeup Mist & Set “over this one. I’ll continue using it but I don’t think I will repurchase.
18 Hit Wonders EyeShadow Palette $14
I’ve used e.l.f eyeshadows in the past and I wasn’t too impressed with them. They were chalky, didn’t blend well at all and the pigmentation was not great. I think e.l.f cosmetics took notice of this and decided to revamp their shadows because HOLY MOLY they have a real winner with this gorgeous palette!
From the e.l.f website I quote:
“ This vibrant, colorful 18-pan palette contains only the best, most swatch-worthy shades, designed to inspire bold, vibrant eyeshadow looks. We included a mix of matte, satin and shimmer shades. The luxe formula is smooth, creamy, blendable and ultra-pigmented for effortless application.“
So everything e.l.f cosmetics mentioned above is REAL! They are super creamy, super bendable, ultra-pigmented and easy to apply. I couldn’t have described it better myself, I wasn’t expecting to love this palette as much as I do. I was in need of a vibrant spring palette and I found it. So so good!
“Heat”, “Shade”, “Royal”
So to sum up my post, I am really happy to see that e.l.f cosmetics has stepped up their game. There are a few products I will be repurchasing, especially the ” Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint”, “16 HR Camo Concealer “and ” 18 Hit Wonders Eyeshadow Palette”.
Have you used any of these e.l.f cosmetic products? If so , please leave a comment below !
This is the first review of any theBalm Cosmetics products on the blog! I don’t really know why I waited so long to review these über popular products. theBalm Cosmetics is really famous for their catchy branding and witty product names.
I picked up the “Meet Matt(e) Ador”matte eyeshadow palette from my local drugstore. Yes, in Canada theBalm Cosmetics is sold at the drugstore. I definitly don’t consider their price points drugstore prices but oh well, I really wanted the palette so I picked it up.
The “Meet Matt(e) Ador” is the 3rd palette in theBalm “Meet Matt(e)” palette trilogy:
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Palette
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Ador Palette
theBalm “Meet Matt(e) Ador”consists of 9 matte, talc free, vegan eyeshadows that range from naturals to dark shades. The shadows are true matte shades, as there is zero shine in these shadows. I love it when a brand can produce a true matte eyeshadow. Each shade contains a variation of the name “Matt” as it’s a play on the word “Matte”.
I instantly fell in love with all the shades and knew right away that I needed this palette in my life. It was going t be my go-to Fall palette. It was love at first sight with “Matt Jones”. He’s a matte orange shade that I don’t have in my collection so I was happy to add him to it!! “Matt Soto” also became dear to my heart as he’s the perfect green shade to use for a dark smokey eye look!
Sadly, my love affair with “Meet Matt(e) Ador” palette ended when I tried to apply the shadows for a dramatic look. You see matte shades, if too powdery or chalky, can give you a hard time when picking up the product onto a brush and applying or blending them.
Brace yourselves…this is not pretty:
As you can see from the photo above. I had a hard time applying and blending the shades. At first I thought my shadow primer was the problem, so I washed off the shadows and applied them again using this primer.
No, that didn’t work either.
The shadows applied were chalky, not blendable at all. It took me a long time to achieve the results below and I was not happy with it AT ALL! I was so frustrated that I wasn’t going to post theses photos but I changed my mind because I really wanted my readers, you guys, to really grasp what I am writing about when I say things like chalky or overly powdery texture.
For $42 and all the rave reviews I read online about thebalm cosmetics, I expected more from this palette.
I went online to see if anyone else had the same issues as me and it turns out this palette, out of the 3 in the “Meet Matt(e)” palette trilogy, was the least favourite. Apparently the formula was changed in this palette and makeup lovers everywhere have noticed and voiced their opinion.
So, where do I stand? Here are the pros and cons of this palette:
I love the branding and packaging;
it’s a vegan palette, the shades are so so nice;
versatile so you can go from day to night
Too chalky and overly powdery;
difficult to pick up on a brush; does not blend well;
too much fallout and expensive AF!
I hope I can return this platte since I’m so disappointed with it. I thought that since my last palette purchase was a dud ( read that post here ) this one would blow me away. It clearly did not.
How hard is it to find the perfect Fall palette!! Agh!
I had a bad experience with this palette, but that doesn’t mean I’m opposed to trying out any other products from thebalm Cosmetics. I’m hoping to pick up “Meet Matt(e) Nude” and “Meet Matt(e) Trimony” Palette as well as Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter. I’ve heard AMAZING reviews on all these products and I truly want to fall in love with theBalm!
I do, really! It just didn’t happen with this product.
Have you tired any theBalm Cosmetics products? If you have leave me a comment below.
On my lunch break from my 9-5, I decided to take a stroll to the mall next to me which so happens to have a Sephora. Lucky me! Not so lucky for my husband 🙁
He always asks me what I did on my lunch break because it’s either 2 things:
Went to the Mall
Went to the Gym
He would like to hear ” went to the gym” more often but off to the mall I go!
You see, Sephora truly puts me in a euphoric state and I’m not ashamed to say that it is my happy place. I know I’m not the only one!
As I walked around Sephora, I stopped in front of the Huda Beauty cosmetics stand and was instantly drawn to her Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette collections. The collection consists of 11 palettes with 9 shades which are a mix of mattes and shimmers. The tones range from warm brown, mauve, smokey, and electric! They are all gorgeous and I wanted them all, but at $35 for a mini palette, I had to control my inner diva and I settled on Coral Obsessions.
I was instantly drawn to the burnt orange ,vibrant yellow and dusty pink shades. This palette is screaming SUMMER! I quickly added the mini palette to my shopping tote and went on my way.
I was so excited to get home and try on these gorgeous colours!
Amazing shades right!
Coral Obsessions Palette Look:
So, what did I think of the final look you ask ?
I am somewhat happy with the final results of the eyeshadow application.
Truthfully, I really really wanted to love this palette. I wanted to love it so much, I was going to budget for another 2-3 palettes because the shade ranges are absolutely amazing! The idea of mixing burnt orange and deep red together sounded so good in my head.
But then reality hit me…hard!
The matte shadows are very powdery, chalky and a nightmare to blend out. There was so much fall out. I was constantly dusting away the fallen shadow. The shimmery shades were better to blend but not great. I had difficulty picking up product onto my blending brush. I must have dipped the brush into each shade a good 2-3 times before I saw enough product on my brush to apply.
Did I get a defective palette?Hoping I did.
I read a few other reviews online and I think the mass opinions on the obsession palettes is in favour of them, but there are some makeup gurus on youtube who are experiencing the same issues as I am.
So here’s my final verdict on this palette:
I fell in love with the the shades , they are stunning. It’s miniture size make is so convenient for travel and Huda Beauty herself picked out every single shade in each palette. That’s pretty cool I think!
But dear Huda, $35 for a palette that you may get 3-4 uses out of it ( if that) before hitting pan due to crazy fallout is not cool ! Not cool at all . The matte shades are too chalky and the pigmentation is barely there when blending out. Even my UD shadow primer wasn’t able to save me.
But since my mamma didn’t raise a quitter and I’m always up for a challenge, I’ll give it one more try! I’ll probably pick up another palette, maybe from the smokey range, to compare the two.
If you have used any of the Obsessions Collection palettes, I would love to hear from you. Do we share the same experience? Do you like it or hate it?
I can’t believe we are saying goodbye to the blazing heat in Ottawa and shifting our thoughts to PSL, pumpkin pies and riding boots! Fall is on the horizon and I am not sure how I feel about that, however, since your an avid reader of my blog you probably already know how much I look forward to switching up my makeup and skincare products with each season. Fall 2018 is the season I amp up my skincare and become more adventurous with my makeup looks! Here are the Fall products I’m loving and living for!
Skincare for me is so essential. I have friends that don’t use any skincare and I’m shocked and ask myself :
#1 – how are we friends again? and
#2 – so you like aging rapidly?
Nope sorry. Not I.
I am a strong believer that skincare can and will help you slow down the aging process ( of course eating healthy, drinking loads of water , minimizing stress also help 🙂 ).
This is why I religiously wash, exfoliate, serum and moisturize every morning and night!
I was happy to receive the Rodial Dragons Blood Micellar cleansing water and Dragon’s Blood essence mist to help me NOT age rapidly 🙂. I’m a huge fan of this brand because they use innovative ingredients in their products that actually work great together to deliver results.
The cleansing water contains
Rose water to cleanse and refresh skin,
Vitamin b3 to helps brighten skin,
Hyalronic acid to lock in hydration while preventing moisture loss while helping plump up the skin.
This is now the first step in my morning and night routine, I dampen a cotton pad and wipe off my makeup. I like to use another cotton pad soaked in the cleansing water a second time to ensure everything is removed. I’m just paranoid like this! Give this a try if your looking
The Dragons blood essence mist is a triple threat. It can be used as
Truthfully, I use this mist as a setting spray only and I love it! I love how with one pump I get so much mist and it absorbs into my skin quickly and leaves it really refreshed, glow-y , and helps my makeup stay. On really hot days when I’ve worn makeup I’ve spray the essence mist on to freshen up my look. I love his spray. I didn’t know that it comes in a mini size, but now that I do know this I’ll be buying it in mini so I can carry it around in my makeup bag this Fall.
“Born This Way” medium to full coverage foundation from Too Faced is the fist product I’ve tried from this brand. I didn’t really know what to expect because all the reviews have been amazing for this foundation, but of course I needed to form my own opinion.
Day 1 wearing this foundation wasn’t the greatest experience. I felt it oxidized rather quickly and by the time I got home that day it didn’t look like I had any foundation on. My face looked rather dull. I instantly regretted buying it, but I said I would have another go at it as almost everyone I know has loved it from the get-go!
Day 2 was better. I realized on Day 2 that on Day 1 wasn’t wearing any of my usual skincare ( testing out some PR products) and the products did NOTHING for my skin and made my skin look really dull, dry and just plain gross! If your skin prep is off even using a foundation made with the tears of the last unicorn wouldn’t make your skin look good!
Day 3 I realized why I didn’t like the foundation as much as I thought I would. I wasn’t pumping enough foundation onto my brush. 2 pumps of the “Born This Way” foundation was not enough for my liking so I tried 3.5 pumps and VOILA, it was magic! Thank god this product is buildable. After trial and error I finally found the right ratio of pumps for my liking and I have to say I am IN LOVE with this foundation. It covered imperfections beautifully and gave me a semi – matte look. I just hope going into the colder months it holds up!

Esqido is a brand that I was introduced to this year when they sent me their best selling lashes to experiment with. You can read my thoughts on the lashes here.
They recently sent me their new gel liners in brown and black . Esqido gel liners are no joke folks ! They are
have great colour payoff,
formulated without latex,sulphates and parabens.
The liners have a twist dispenser and a precision sharpener.
I’m a big fan of lining the inner eyelids and sometimes I find that some eyeliners don’t glide on smoothly in that area so I end up tugging a bit on the lid to ensure I get the liner in place, but with the Esqido liners there was no need to tug as the liner glided on effortlessly! The black liner is really a rich black and you can create a long lasting cat eye with minimum effort.
I used to be obsessed with the MAC lip liners. Soar was my absolute favourite as it matched all my lipsticks. I was never crazy about paying $22 for a lip liner but I did anyway because there wasn’t any other product I liked more until I started using the NYX Suede Matte Lip Liners! I FREAKING love them ! I’m sure I’ve blogged about them before but I wanted to reiterate in this post how amazing these $6 lip liners are.
Going into Fall, matte shades are a must for me so I picked up Dainty Daze ( shown below) and KYOTO. I like to line my lips first and then shade the top and lower lip with the liner, then apply the lipstick. I find it lasts longer and deepens the colour of the lipstick. For $6 you cannot go wrong with this amazing liner!
I don’t usually talk about hair care on the blog, but I really should as I get asked all the time what I use on my curly, and unruly hair!
If there is one product I can’t live without to tame my hair it would have to be the Kérastase Nutritive K Oléo-Relax serum ( some people call it an oil but I don’t like to call it that).I have been using this serum for years and years. It’s an amazing product that can be used on your hair wet or dry, curly or straight , frizz or no frizz. It can be used to add shine to your hair or use it for it’s original purpose which is to control frizz.
I have repurchased this product at least 4 times and lasts me about a year. I only use one or two pumps depending on the length of my hair at that time. When I wear my hair curly , I apply the serum to my wet hair before applying any styling products. When I wear my hair straight, I apply one pump before and after styling. This is my HG for taming my frizz! I know it carries a steep price ( $45 ) but it is well worth it for me as it lasts me a whole year!
Honestly I can’t complain! I have a pretty sweet gig. Sometimes a really great company sends lil ‘ol me a few products for free to sample. It’s also a better feeling when the products are actually great!
Vichy is my go-to skin care brand and it never disappoints! They recently introduced the Aqualia Thermal Serum and Gel Creme Moisturizer. This line is formulated with 97% natural ingredients and Mineralizing thermal water.
I love how the serum can be worn under makeup and doesn’t dry out my skin. I truly believe that Vichy makes the best serums on the market. My all time favourite serum is still the Idéalia Serum with is the Vichy Radiance boosting Serum. I think I’m on my 15th or 18th bottle. It’s a staple for me! Like I said, Best skincare are brand out there!
Pixi by Petra is so generous to us bloggers! This brand also never dissapoints me and I’ve grown to love the majority of the products Pixi has. If I was only able to pick one type of product form Pixi to use, it would have to be their highlighters. I absolutely adore them. They have great wearability and longevity as well they suite a variety of skin tones. Oh, I can’t forget that they really are versatile. I can use the highlighters as shadows to add a bit of colour to my lids. The new products Pixi sent me are the Glow-Y Gossamer Duo highlighters and the Liquid Fairy Lights eyeshadows.
The highlighters are another hit by Pixi. I gravitated towards Subtle Sunrise as it adds a really nice natural glow on the skin. Both highlights though felt really nice on the skin and didn’t dry me out at all even after wearing it all day.
The Liquid Fairy Lights are liquid shadows. They can be worn alone or layered to create a 3D effect. My favourite out of the 5 are the shades Rose Gold and Bare Brilliance. Layer them both for a metallic look or alone for a more subtle look. The shadows are shimmery but if you apply them with your finger and pat the colour onto your lid you would be diffusing the shimmery impact. I prefer this method of applying the Fairy Lights as I am not so keen on having metallic lids.
I’ve heard many bloggers compare the Liquid Fairy Lights shadows to Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid eyeshadows. I believe that’s a fair statement to make but I would say that the Pixi liquid shadows aren’t as concentrated in colour as the Stila liquid shadows, but for less than half the price you can achieve a similar look so why not!
It Cosmetics has been on my radar lately and I can’t be happier that I received a few products from them to sample. They recently sent me the Superhero Mascara and Superhero liquid liner.
I had originally heard of the Superhero mascara from a video Jefree Star posted online and I thought how much I would love to try it out because of the amazing review he gave. Well , the next day what do you know the IT Superhero mascara and liner show up on my doorstep! So here’s the honest honest truth. I would never ever lie to guys. So the low down is this. The Superhero mascara is the best I have tried in a very long time. I don’t know what it is but my lashes love this mascara. It literally grabs every fibre of my lashes and stretches them out to the max! It deserves the rave reviews it’s received.
With that being said….I can’t say the same thing about the liner. I know the title of this post is “… products I love”, but I have to keep it real with you all! The IT Superhero liner is good, but it won’t be replacing my Kat Von D ink tattoo liner any time soon. It glides nicely, has a sturdy fine tip and it’s a deep black, but throughout the day the liner straits to fade and transfers. The liner starts out looking good and sharp but about 3 hours in I noticed a bit of liner on my upper eyelids. I thought well I don’t have any eye primer on so I’ll try it again the next day with eye primer but sadly that didn’t help the problem. *sigh*
Esqido Lashes are mink lashes that are super wearable and are loved by loads of influencers and celebrities including Gigi Hadid, Shay Mitchell and model Candace Swanepoel. These are the VOILA LASH and add a lot of volume to your look and are one of the bestsellers on the Esqido site.
Esqido Lashes are best applied with it’s Companion eyelash clear glue! The glue has all day hold , is fast drying, latex free and can be used on sensitive skin.
The eyelash glue applicator is easy to use and one or two swipes on the lash band is all you need to secure these lashes to your natural lashes for an all day hold. I LOVE this lash glue because it dries quickly and it’s super easy to apply onto the band. Overall I am really impressed with the Esqido lashes. The variety is amazing and they feel so great on and best of all I don’t even feel that I’m wearing falsies !
I just received these two products today from Rodial, so I can’t say much about them but I wanted to include them in the post. Everything I’ve ever bought or received from Rodial has been a huge hit so don’t be surprised if I end up raving about these two products here. The Dragons Blood Micelllar Cleansing Water and Essence Mist are new to the Rodial line up so be ono the look out for a review of these two products coming soon !
